Creating Leaders Today, for Tomorrow
The Bellarmine Student Leadership program provides our students with a multitude of opportunities to better understand how to utilize their personal characteristics and learned skills to transform our world through servant leadership, which is grounded in our Ignatian Spirituality.
At Bellarmine, we believe that everyone will be a leader in many ways throughout their own life. However, we acknowledge that not all leaders are successful when leading. Therefore, we believe that it is vital to our students’ success to help them learn how to utilize their own personal characteristics, in combination with learned skills to actively and successfully shape the world around them.

The Bellarmine Student Leadership program, which is grounded in our Ignatian Spirituality, provides our students with a multitude of opportunities to better understand how to utilize their personal characteristics and learned skills to transform our world through servant leadership.

At Bellarmine, we believe that every student is a leader. We are committed to developing our students into leaders who are passionate about transforming our world and serving others in our community. There are numerous ways for students to serve on campus and beyond through clubs, retreats, athletics, student government, student activities or mentorship.
“At Bellarmine, there are opportunities for anyone who wants to lead. We are all leaders in different ways, and Bellarmine’s goal is to allow students to find, develop and act upon the ways they can best lead.”
Jim Dempsey, Leadership Director

“We believe that leadership is a skill, and we are committed to teaching and practicing this skill, because that is the only way it can be fully developed.”
Mary Rink B’88, Director of Global Engagement
