1950s


1960s
  • Tom Raquer B’69 retired officially in 2004 from the U.S. Air Force as a Southeast Asia Foreign Area Officer. He spent a good deal of his life in the countries of Thailand, Vietnam, Korea, Singapore, the Philippines, and Indonesia, with short stays in Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia and even Brunei. Currently doing free-lance consulting and is now engaged on a research project on China Strategic Influence in Southeast Asia.
1970's
  • Margaret ‘Peg’ Staeheli A’74 recently completed a two-month, 3,000-mile coast to coast bicycle trip from San Diego, CA to St. Augustine, FL.
  • Michael (Mick) Alsos B’76 retired in April 2022, after 35 years with The Boeing Company.
  • Timothy Burns B'76 retired from Boeing after 36 years - celebrating 30 years with his wife, Alice in October 2025.
  • Dave Clemens B'77 retired from the federal government in 2019 and moved to Portugal in 2023. 
  • Pete Warren B'78 retired from 40 years of service with Caterpillar Marine. 
  • Peter Verbica B'78 has become a co-owner of Silicon Private Wealth as of January 1, 2024. In addition to his role as a principal, he continues to serve as a managing director. He hosts the popular Verb Presents Speaker Series, which has featured the former deputy director of the NSA (on cybersecurity), the former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine (on geopolitical tensions), and many other CEOs, authors, and experts. Verbica currently serves as the finance chair of the San Jose Symphony Foundation, a party county chair, and a state delegate.
1980s
  • Tshlene Henreid B'81 and her finance, Lonnie Irons, met while they attended Bellarmine in 1979-80. Tshlene graduated in 1981. Lonnie played football with the Lions until he was injured. They lost touch and reunited in 2022. They both reside in Las Vegas and will be married March 24, 2026. Father Weber was a huge blessing to them and both their families.

  • Damani Leech B’94 was named President of the Denver Broncos. Read more.
  • John Fitzpatrick B’95 After directing an episode of "Supernatural", John brought his experience behind the camera to the editing room as an editor on Amazon’s "The Boys". It’s been a wild ride working on two fan-favorite series, and he’s excited for what’s next. He credits his time at Bellarmine for helping shape the work ethic, (and sense of humor) it takes to survive in the world of TV production.
  • Angela Rasmussen B’96 moved to Canada where she is a scientist and professor at the Vaccine and Infectious Disease Organization at the University of Saskatchewan.
2000s
  • Brittney 'Britt' Harris B'05 released her debut single, "All of Me", on August 19, 2022.The track is produced by her brother, Nathan 'Nate' Harris B'10. You can stream/download “All of Me” on SoundCloud.
  • Midori Starks White B'09 got married in 2019, graduated from medical school in 2021 and started a general surgery residency at Johns Hopkins 2021.
2010s
  • Leah Barta Brissenden B’10 became the first female co-owner at Bellingham Bay Builders in Bellingham WA in November of 2022. They specialize in custom builds and remodels.
  • Austin Hirsh B’15 is the founder of The 2050 Company, a company focused on eliminating food waste by using dried, “imperfect” produce to create smoothie and pasta mixes. Austin was featured in a video article in the Bellarmine Lion, view the article at www.bellarminelion.com.
  • Mauricio Martija-Harris B’17 started a new job as Operations and Marketing Officer at Harrow International School in Iwate, Japan.
  • Cooper Pethick B’17 received his Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice.
  • Madeline Phillips B’17 graduated from Cal Poly in 2021 with a BS in Psychology. She is currently getting her Master’s Degree in Barcelona, Spain.
  • Jacob Settle B’17 graduated from Patrick Henry College in 2019, married Emma Settle in 2020, and started attending Antonin Scalia Law School in 2021. He worked as the Correspondent to Vice President Pence from 2019-2021, and started working at the House of Representatives in 2021 where he is currently the Press Secretary. 
2020s
  • Chris Hegardt B’20 signed his first professional soccer contract with Charlotte FC! Chris formally played for Georgetown University, making it to the Final Four in the 2021 NCAA Tournament.
  • Nicholas Archer B'22 is currently a student at Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida.
     

Obituaries

1970s
  • Teresa McAndrews Jeffers B'76 went to be to join Lord on October 17, 2017 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Teresa is survived by her son Bert and daughter Julianna and 2 grandchildren as well as her sisters Lynn Faulkner and Stacy Looman, both Bellarmine grads. Teresa is deeply missed and her memory is cherished, her light and love still be forever felt.
