The Drama Program at Bellarmine encompasses a variety of opportunities for students interested in the composition, production and performance of theater. Students put on two main stage productions each year: a dramatic play in the fall and a musical in the spring. In addition to acting roles, students are responsible for all technical aspects of the programs, including lighting, sounds, sets, makeup and costumes.
Students may also participate in writing, directing and performing one-act plays; and take additional courses for academic credit. Comprehensively, the Drama Program offers Bellarmine students a practical creative outlet, a working understanding of the theatrical arts, an opportunity to develop leadership skills, and a place to make lifelong friendships.
