Rooted in our Catholic faith and animated by the vision of St. Ignatius of Loyola, Bellarmine’s Campus Ministry invites every member of this community to “see God in all things.” We are called to form our community in faith, love, and service as we live the great commission of Jesus Christ.
Through our comprehensive four year retreat program, weekly liturgies, and service opportunities, our students have opportunities to build lasting bonds of friendship, grow in authentic faith, and share their gifts with their communities. One of the hallmarks of Jesuit education is “Cura Personalis” or the care of the whole person. Bellarmine’s commitment to caring for every person on our campus is lived through our campus ministry program.
Inspired by this call, we embrace St. Ignatius’ words to his friend and fellow Jesuit St. Francis Xavier to “go and set the world on fire!”
Campus Ministry's goals are to:
- Foster the love and care for individuals
- Share the Gospel message and promote Christian values
- Build and strengthen the faith community
- Celebrate the life of the Holy Spirit

Retreats
Campus Ministry programs help students deepen their faith in God. The retreat program provides students with opportunities to participate in reflective experiences in communal settings to gain deeper insights into self-knowledge, sensitivity to others, and a faith in God. Each retreat is designed to provide time for students to share their insights, personal beliefs and attitudes in a Christian context.

Masses
Campus Ministry provides many opportunities for common prayer and worship through liturgy. Student centered celebrations, full of joy and life, are the hallmark of our masses. Just as a person needs food to nourish their body, we need spiritual nourishment to feed our souls. All School masses are held about once a month and an optional weekly liturgy is celebrated at the end of the week in the chapel.

Prayer Services
In addition to Masses, Bellarmine Preparatory School offers students a variety of communal prayer experiences that are based in and inspired by scripture and other theological texts. -
Daily Examen
Steeped in Ignatian spirituality, Bellarmine Prep invites all community members to practice the Examen of Consciousness daily. At a designated time each day, all work and activities pause for silence, reflection, mindfulness, and encounter with God’s spirit. -
Servant Leadership
Jesus' message is to love your neighbor and serve your brothers and sisters. "Our love is not to be just words or mere talk, but something real and active." (1 Jn. 3:18) Bellarmine graduates young men and women of competence, compassion and conscience, who are committed to leadership and service.

Adult Formation
Bellarmine is not just another school but a Jesuit school. What sets us apart is our commitment to grow in our ability to live out the mission of the Jesuits, so we may more intentionally work for Jesus' vision of justice for our world. We commit to growing in our personal spiritual lives so that collectively we may model for our students what living a life of faith means in our world today and help them discover their own way of living out our shared Jesuit values. We deepen our faith through retreats (including the Spiritual Exercises), Mass, prayer services, service in our community, and morning employee-led prayer and reflection.
