Service & Dedication Award for 2025 Honors Parent Volunteer Michelle Kokich

This year Bellarmine honors Michelle Kokich, a valuable parent volunteer at Bellarmine for over a decade. Congratulations Michelle on this much deserved honor.
Here are few remarks spoken about Michelle at the awards assembly:

"(Michelle) has been serving the Bellarmine community since 2013 in a variety of capacities. Whether serving in the ACE, Lions Den or the Jesuit community she does so with grace and humility."

"(Michelle) models for others selfless service and a commitment that goes far beyond what is expected, and her quiet acts of service truly embody the spirit of this award."

"(Michelle) rallies others to serve with an open heart and open mind.  While she would not want to be recognized for her care of Fr. Jerry, we all benefited from her act of love and service. Her selflessness allowed Fr. Jerry to stay on campus until he was almost 90 years old."

De Thomas, the name sake to the award, worked in the school office in the 1970's. She passed away from a sudden heart attack while working on a Saturday. Her family donated the plaque for the De Thomas Memorial Award - a perpetual award presented to a member of the Bellarmine Community who demonstrates outstanding service and honest dedication beyond his or her assigned duties.
