Alumni Spotlight: Amber Brunner

Bellarmine is proud to celebrate Amber Brunner ’08, who has been a nurse for 13 years and currently works at Seattle Children’s Hospital as a pediatric emergency room nurse.

Amber says, “The best part of being a nurse is having the opportunity to make a difference in someone’s life, often during their most vulnerable moments. Whether it’s providing comfort, being an advocate for my patients and their families, or being someone they can trust, those connections are incredibly meaningful and rewarding.”

We are excited to share that Amber has been nominated to throw out the first pitch at a Seattle Mariners game as part of their Nurse Appreciation Night.

Amber also reflected on her time as a Lion: “Bellarmine helped prepare me for my nursing career by building a strong foundation in academics and personal skills. Classes like biology and health sciences sparked my interest in the human body and caring for others, while also teaching me how to think critically and pay attention to detail. Beyond academics, group projects and extracurricular activities taught me how to work well with others, manage my time, and be a leader among my peers.”
